CALL TO ACTION: There could be a House vote this evening (Monday) to override Gov. Cooper's veto of the Born-Alive bill. Contact your representative now and let them know what you think of this unnecessary bill whose real intent is to intimidate abortion providers.

CALL TO ACTION: On June 11 in Washington DC, Citizens' Climate Lobby will be holding 500 meetings with Members of Congress. Dear Member of Congress,

As a constituent, I respectfully ask you to co-sponsor the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act (H.R. 763 in the House, yet to be reintroduced in the Senate). Republicans and Democrats agree that this is the best first step to drive down America's carbon pollution and bring climate change under control while unleashing American technology innovation and ingenuity.

I support this bill because

Sincerely,  (your name)

Read more here on how climate change affects our children

around the world and in the US. By virtue of its effect on sea levels, more  frequent and severe hurricanes, heatwaves and droughts, air pollution,  forest fires, and increases in infectious diseases, climate change is  already affecting the way children live. The relentless destruction of  ecosystems is depriving our children of experiencing nature’s beauty,  clean air, safe drinking and recreational water, nutritious food  supplies, and safe shelter.

Also read how climate change could undermine children's education and development in the tropics.

We must initiate change in our personal habits and priorities and demand action from our policy makers. Our children deserve a better future.
