The recovery is just starting. Here's a good list of hurricane volunteer & assistance resources from our friends at Stronger NC. In addition, we've heard from our Stamp NC Blue team leader in Wilmington that these organizations are an active presence doing good work in affected areas: UMCOR has been there since Hurricane Matthew and overhead costs are paid by the church, so 100% of donations go to direct relief; Second Harvest food bank is doing a great job.

Stamp NC Blue PAC has kicked off a special, one-time, round of postcards to registered NC voters encouraging them to vote for Anita Earls for NC Supreme Court in November. Find out more, donate, and volunteer for this new effort and share the link! We're continuing our focus on each of our selected districts, introducing the candidates who are running and providing some background info about the area. Stamp NC Blue supports the progressive values of NC's Democratic candidates.

Uppitie Cards is a Stamp NC Blue postcard team made up of members of the We Stand Up!! Indivisible Group based in the Watts Hospital-Hillandale neighborhood of Durham. Team leader Robin K took a "brevity is the soul of wit" in providing her succinct answers to our queries.

They are participating in Stamp NC Blue because, "we hope individual voters who get cards feel more excited about voting!" They are also active with voter registration and other GOTV activities. Since actions speak louder than words, we appreciate all they are doing (in addition to what they are saying).

Check out Robin's word association responses:
Blue →→→→→ Win!
Red →→→→→ Fired up
Orange →→→→→ Blech
NCGA →→→→→ Flip
Unicorn →→→→→ Yummy
