Yes, that is right - after a hard old few days of legislative wheeling and dealing, our legislators have taken today off in advance of Memorial Day weekend.

Here at Stamp NC Blue we are taking the weekend off, as well, and planning to spend some time relaxing and reading. Here are our reading lists for this holiday weekend:

Patti has a stack of reading to get through, starting with Composing a Life by Mary Catherine Bateson, All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr and Citizen by Claudia Rankine.

Eunice is planning to read Circe by Madeline Miller.

Sheila is lining up The Woman Who Smashed Codes by Jason Fagone and Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon.

And I'll be rereading a favorite from this past month, Sing Unburied Sing, by Jesmyn Ward, and the ever-relevant Patas Arriba, by Eduardo Galeano.

We hope you all have wonderful weekends! Let us know your top Memorial Day reading choices in the comments!
