You may have seen this article on WRAL yesterday: New progressive groups target legislative races. The article correctly notes that many progressive volunteer groups have been created since the Nov 2016 election, ours among them. Stamp NC Blue affirms its support for fair representation and transparent government at the NCGA. It's clear that those in power would prefer to stay in power and do so by choosing their voters rather than having a wide spectrum of eligible voters make their own choices. Even some moderate Republicans are frustrated with the current concentration of power in the hands of a few: Blust won't run.
Stamp NC Blue volunteers are reaching out to voters in competitive districts to encourage them to VOTE for the candidates THEY CHOOSE. We do not support, endorse, or fund specific candidates or campaigns. Our funding comes from individual donors who support our goal and goes to covering our costs. We do not receive funding from specific candidates, campaigns, or political parties. We can understand why some folks in power may not be happy about what we do, and to us, it represents what democracy is about: people making their voices heard through the ballot box and encouraging others to do the same. What do you think?
